Mission Accomplished.

I ended up walking to Cheeseman Park to run the loop and got a kick arse run in. I was shocked at my time when I finished because it was SO much faster than I had planned for. Buttttt then I googled it and the loop was only 1.5 miles not 3 miles like I had for whatever reason thought. Fail. But I did NOT pass out/fall and bust up my knee, which are 2 things that have happened to me while running in the past 4 months.

I was noticing that I was getting a ton of funny looks the entire time I was there, which isn't totally unusual because 9.98 times out of 10 I dance to music/sing out loud. I guess which disturbs people? Whetever. But when I got home, I realized the reason behind the funny looks.

Check out THAT tan line. You too can get one as impressive as this if you fall asleep reading in the park on a 90+ Sunday afternoon.

Please don't do that. And if you do, use sun screen/sleep in the shade.

Wow - this post is even boring me. Cheers to you if you are still reading, and cheers to you if you quit a looooong time ago.

I'm bored.

I never come home from work and do nothing. Like. Never ever. Ever, ever. If I'm not at Bible study ( Happy Hour ) either downtown or my aunt's house, I'm running outside/at the gym/working out with James and Ryan or meandering through the grocery store dreaming up what to cook for dinner.

Today. I came home and did nothing. Not because I wanted to, but because the 3 block line of people outside the Ogden Theatre suggested a big show tonight and do you know how difficult it is finding a good parking spot on big show nights? It's impossible. Once I got my good spot, I wasn't leaving.

So, I painted my nails, watched 2 episodes of Sex and the City on OnDemand and took a picture of my cat before I started going totally stir crazy.

At that time I'd been home for appx 61 minutes.

I really want to go outside for a run, but based on the 93 degree temps at 7pm and a pretty yishy incident that happened Friday night during my run, I will most definitely wait until those drop before I go work on my fitness. Thank God that Chad called and kept me company for 21 minutes and 48 seconds. He's had to witness my ADD first hand, namely when it comes to watching movies/TV (I'm so doneskies with the boob tube after about 45 min unless I'm sick/can't sleep.), so the best option he had for my boredom was to look at the website for the Summer Camp he's helping run.

That took up appx 7 minutes of my night.

It was a good suggestion though, eh?

I'm off to paint my toenails (again).

I have no idea how that wine pix snuck in there. { Yes I do. }

JITP: Week 4!

{ Pronounced Ji-P. Tim wouldn't tell me there the T disappeared to. }

To locate my favorite picture of the night, look at column 2, row 3. I laughed out loud lots when I saw that pix. Tim and I took one photo together, then Brian accused Tim of having a fake smile - ergo me slapping Tim while yelling "No fake smiles with me! You know you love me! Smile like you mean it!" Needless to say, he had a real smile in the 3rd picture we took. :) If you look hard enough, you can see everyone cheersing me with an umbrella for those (totally cool, radical and awesome) people who so chose to accept a drink umbrella offered to them by moi. aka - the Fiesta Sunday themed night was a huge success. Ole!

Yogurtbliss.

Yesterday was a kinda sad day for my family and I (I'll explain more when I have the time to write it all out), and I pray that I'm never faced with a situation bad enough that sprinkles can't fix.

Bwhahaha - gottcha. Joking obvs. No one loves sprinkles THAT much. I love sprinkles that much.

Mary and I had a little impromptu picnic outside Yogurtland at lunch yesterday. Ever want to confuse the heck outta people? Sit in the grass in your business casual outfit eating froyo and watch people stare.

ps Love you, Morgan Dawn!

I survived the 25 minutes it took to boil potatoes. No casualties, no EMT's needed. Just one happy belly.

Dear Diary,

I'm freaking starving.

Hearts,
Beth Ann

I know this is such a pointless post, but I have to tell someone.  I ran with the { my aunt's } dog after work, went to the gym for 45 minutes then walked over to the market and picked up amazingly fresh produce to cook for dins.  Starvin' Marvin over here bought some fingerling potatoes at the Farmer's Market on Sunday and has had my heart set on rosemary potatoes all. day. long.  Marvin got wrapped up in the excitement of rosemary and forgot how gosh darn long those things take to boil.  So I can't work on my meat, and steaming my veggies until the potatoes are at least halfway cooked.

Anger.

Sorry, I just had to tell someone.  Thank you for listening, Diary.

This crazy life I lead. { enter sarcasm here }

Picture collage includes, but is not limited to:
Cute Eric when he was visiting a few weekends back....and the massive slices of pizza that appeared in our hands by bar close.
BWW.
Mary's remedy for keeping me from being lonely while Mr.Rail was gone.
My office rooftop view when I eat lunch outside.
Reading, reading and reading more of the Hunger Games trilogy.
Jon chewing me out via text.

Family Reunion/Sleepgayover 2011.

Even though we've all had our own precious Jonny time while he's in town, we all still needed to do it up old school style. No restaurants, no early curfews....just one big sleepover. And that we did.

Jimmy and Trish had us up to their house for a family reunion/sleepgayover in Berthoud last night, which is about an hour north of Denver. They have a mouth droppingly stunning view of the mountains as their backyard, as well as a beautiful plot of land next to their home with horses running freely. I took tons of pictures throughout the night on my phone....however I seemed to pick one subject at a time and capture it 15 different ways. Enjoy our evening by virtue of my blog post!

Subject: Food. { Jimmy has the most creative perspective on cooking and never disappoints. Last night was no exception! He grilled at least 8 different veggies, 5 meats and 1 type of fish. De-lish. }

Subject: Doggies. { It's curious to me I only photographed these 3 dogs because there were 6 pups total there. I guess I know who my favorites are! }

Subject: Chris and Kevin { Being all cute and cuddly after 26+ years together. Yes, they have been a couple longer than I've been alive. Love them. }

Subject: Jon. { And me forcing him into looking like a happy couple. aka being needy as fu... }

Subject: Jon sleeping. { Though this seems like a perfectly innocent act, he started snoozing at like 9pm, which we found highly inappropriate. Let's just say we found ways to wake him up that included a wet willy or 7. }

Things I did that aren't displayed in the above photo collage:
Went on a scooter { ekkkkk!!! } ride.
Mixed many a Moscow Mule for the group.
Fed fish in their pond.
Played Scrabble.
Drank about 4 cups of coffee on the patio/sitting in the grass.
Had a dog pile on Graff.

I really do have the best group of oddly highly inappropriate and severely dysfunctional friends. But - I wouldn't and couldn't trade them for the world.

Enjoy the misc reject photos from the night that didn't make the cut. And before you ask, yes that is me wearing Stewart the Dog's Doggles for when Jimmy takes him on the scooter, and also my aunt defied all odds and got my hair secured up in a bun with one bobby-pin.

Most people would be insulted,

but I take it as a compliment.

Jon Graff is in town { yayyyyyyyyy }!!! I've tried getting ahold of him throughout the day I've been stalking him since the minute I woke up and when I called him about 10 minute ago he answered with

"YOU ARE LIKE A PIECE OF TOLIET PAPER ON THE BOTTOM OF MY SHOE."

I warned him last weekend when he let me know he'd be here how needy I would be.  Someone is in Italy for two weeks and someone {hyper-link to a picture of myself} has been going through pretty serious Chad Rail with-drawls.

But it's okay.  I have my Jonny for an entire weekend.

In love with love.

Okay, maybe a bit dramatic.  I'm not so much in love with my love, but Jaime and Ryan's love.  I know I don't need to go on and on about who these two are, because if we all had a nickel for every time I mentioned the two names Jaime and Ryan on this blog, we could pay for their entire wedding.  Well, let's be honest, there is no need to get all dramatic on you's guys {that was supposed to be a grammatical error, Rebeca}; in all actuality we'd probably be able to buy ourselves a small Starbucks brew coffee.  Espresso shot, maybe.  Anyway - I've mentioned way back when how they had asked me to be in their wedding, and only a dummy would have said no.  There are literally dozens of reasons that I am not only excited for their wedding day and to celebrate {party} all night long, but also stand up at the isle representing the love they have for each other.

Let's swoon over the happy couple, shall we?

Thanks for the photo, Nicole !

::swooning::

Jaime's sister Gina and I met tonight to go over bridesmaids duties, and I am beyond excited for all the ideas we came up with.  I'd be lying if I said the best ideas came after the adult beverages were flowing, but I really don't think that matters, now does it?  We listed out what all needs to be done for the Work Bridal Shower, the Friends and Family High Tea Bridal Shower, and most importantly, the Bachelorette Party. {holla!}  Jaime is one of the classiest bitches I know {I had to declass her just a tish by adding a curse word after 'classiest'.  Judge me.  I dare you.} and one of the few people I could think who would want a Bridal Shower of High Tea, and refuses any feathers or male body part straws at her Bachelorette Party but instead requests a 6 course meal.  I wouldn't dream of giving away all the details, but here are a few images from the world wide web to help you get a vision for what our visions are!

A fun place to start and end our night celebrating Jaime's bachelorette life!

There will be a ton of these for every event we have planned.  {duh}

B & W = Love

This way for Cocktails & Cupcakes!

Get cozy and enjoy celebrating Jaime and Ryan!

Gina nearly kicked me out of the wedding when I suggested we attempt these as DIY, so instead we will be purchasing them. ; )

Ahhh - so so fun.  Love you guys.  Muah, muah, muah.

Jazz - Week 2!

Last night’s Jazz was a pretty big stretch for me to show up and took a lot of mental soul searching not to back out on. One of my favorite people, Eric, was in visiting from North Dakota over the weekend. Just to give you an example of how I felt on Sunday, when my coworker Kate text to ask if I was headed to Jazz in the evening my exact text back was “Am I?! Yes I am. Even though you could wring out my arm and get enough booze for the whole park. Oy.” I was tired and awfully banged up from the day before, but I had promised my friend Jeremy I’d take him to for his first time, and he had his heart set on this weekend. Once I got to the park, my spirits lifted for sure. It was only Ed’s second time there, but he has got the system DOWN. We decided each week will be a different themed week and the drinks and food will go hand in hand with the theme. Some of the themes we picked were Mexican and Asian Zing, but Ed decided last night’s theme was FRIED CHICKEN!! And he was letting every passerby’er know exactly that. He had concocted the most fantastical summer drink that we loved almost as much as the chicken. My coworker Sara, her boyfriend Brian and { the love of my life, } her dog Wiley joined us, also! Wi got so excited when he saw me that he was whimpering and clawing his way up to give me kisses. People kept commenting on how it looked like I got attacked by a bear because of all the claw marks on my chest and neck. It was worth it for the kisses, though. : )

Best day of my entire life.

Fine. Maybe not of my *entire* life. Let's say of 2011.

Let's start out this post with an email I sent out on Thursday to Jaime, Ryan, Mary, Ash and Sara:

Hi friends! Happy Thursdayyyyyyyy. (Ryan, what day is it tomorrow…?)

I know I’m not the only one who has had this upcoming Sunday double stared with a smiley face in their calendar for weeks now. And also quite possibly had their outfit picked out for a week, and has had a bottle of white chilling in the fridge ready to be opened Sunday at about 5:45p. What am I talking about you ask?

!!!The first Jazz in the Park is Sunday!!!

I’ll give you a minute to stop, pause and celebrate.

Alright, minute is up.

For those of you not familiar with Jazz in the Park, we can no longer be friends. But go ahead and take a second to familiarize yourself with it here.
http://www.cityparkjazz.org/

So who can make it this Sunday, June 5th? I’ve got a blanket, the (most perfect thing ever invented) table in a bag, wine sticks, badminton, a kite, bubbles, water guns, and many other treats you will have to show up to find out about. With it being the first one of the season, it might not be a bad idea to show up around 5:30p to find a good spot and set everything up. I’m volunteering Ryan and Jaime to bring their grill (thanks, guys!) and we can talk more about what sort of food and yummies to have after we get a better idea of who all can make it.

If you can think of anyone else you’d like to invite, please fwd them this email! Brothers…sisters….sister’s dogs….(Love you, Ryan), parents…anyone at all!

Please let me know if you can make it!
And happy June everyone!

So that basically sums up Jazz in the Park. It's been one of my most favorite things about living in Denver. I've created some amazingly funny memories at Jazz. Including, but not limited to: brownie smiles, long talks after dark on benches, "6 weeks", fights with the grill...the list goes on and on andonandonandon. This past Sunday was no exception! Mary and I packed up everything except the kitchen sink and walked a mile from her house to the park. See below:

The only casualty we had was a container of balsamic + olive oil + honey + s&p for the watermelon, aragula and feta cheese salad. Which, BTW, is STILL missing. { if anyone finds it, please return to 19th and Wynkoop }

Enjoy our night summed up in appx 20 pix.

We ended the night listing things we forgot/need to purchase:
Frisbee
Hula Hoop
Wagon (an adult wagon. We have some self respect.)
Lamp (for after the music is over and we are some of the last to pack up)
*Alcohol

It really is the picture perfect way to end your weekend. Relaxed, dinning and wining in the park with your *favorite* friends.

*We literally had every food group imaginable. The one thing we "didn't think we had enough of" was booze. I had my besties Timmy, Eddie, Kari and Steve set up just a hop and skip away from where we were set up. They were well prepared and had enough wine for the entire park and then some. Ryan was constantly shoving his wine glass at me whispering "Go see your friends. Go see your other friends....and take my glass with you!" That all being said, my slight headache and lusting after a cheeseburger and tator tots would suggest we had more than enough booze.

Rando.

{ Warning.  This post contains no photos.  If you are of the visual sort, just continue navigating your way throughout the world wide web now. }

I love that it's 8:26p, and I haven't turned on my tv once since I've been home work.
I love that I haven't checked my cell phone in what's nearing close to 2 hours.
I love that I have an "emergency exit" at my apartment that doubles as a perfect stoop for reading, drinking a deliciously pretty adult beverage while watching the sun set over the mountains and downtown Denver.
I love that I am able to walk to the grocery in my new 'hood vs driving.
I love rediscovering random artists in my iTunes that I haven't listened to in yearssss.
I love finding all colors of bell peppers on sale for $1 a pep.
I love book recommendations!  Hunger Games, anyone?!!

Holler back.  What do you love today?

FINE, I lied - there is a picture in this post.  But hot damn, this was too funny to pass up.  NO I CAN'T RELATE.

Today I:

Got the most beautiful surprise delivered to work.

I love you, Missy! And I love your beautiful heart.

I got stuck in the most aggravating traffic my entire commute home.

I fell in la-la-love with my one shoulder maxi dress from Forever 25, but waited all day to change into my cozies.

Painted my nails for about the 4th time this week.

Laughed at my cat. Hard.

Roasted corn on the cobbbbbbbb!

Ate corn on the cobbbbbbbb!

Text Chad's uncle about the corn on the cobbbbbbbb!

I love corn on the cob.
