You member?

I will never forget the day when I was a little girl, my family and I went grocery shopping at Albertson's, I plopped my butt down under the cart and unbeknownst to me, my dad had put on a mask, bent down under the cart and scared the living daylights out of me while my mom was pushing me in the cart. From then on out every time we walked in that store I would say: "Member that time daddy scared me with that mask? You member that?"

I love that not a single Halloween goes by without him reminding me of it!

Happy Halloween from Papa Dave/Paper Doll to you!

Momma got game.

Denver is expected to get 4-8 inches of snow between last night and noon today, so naturally I had to text my mother a photo of the snow before she text me about it first.
After sending this photo:

I received this rap (yes, my mother writes raps):

De Denver got snow
De driving be slow
De ground be white
It look like shite
Don't got no snowblower
Damn shovel be slower
Jus put on your boots & gloves
And give dat snow some shoves

After telling her I liked the rap, I got the text of...well - read the subject of this post.

Remember before when I talked about the perks of housesitting? I'm pretty sure I've got the ultimate perk right here.

Bubble bath

With my coffee + pumpkin creamer

Food Network

And archives of gossip magazines my aunt keeps for me.

I'm pretty darn content right now - all of my favorite Sunday morning things at once! Beth happy.

Pix I Tex.

Because it's Friday and I've been horribly sick since last Sunday, I'm hard up for fun stories and cute pix, so I'll do another round of Pix I Tex{t} because it's always oh so humorous to me.

How awesome am I?! Not one cat picture.

Damn. Spoke too soon.

Mack Mommy.

That doesn't roll as well as Mack Daddy, does it? Regardless, I found who I believe to be the grandma this afternoon!

Just taking a stroll down 19th St. NBD.

Happy weekending, everyone!

Tis the season.

No, no...not THAT season. Not the season of stockings, Santa and snowflakes. The season of Fall colds.

Blah.

We are celebrating this season in full force up in this hizhouse.

Much to Forks dismay, I've been up since 4:30a (even though he could have cuddled for another 2 hours minimum), took a screaming hot shower, piled on about 53 different layers and and made myself breakfast.

A breakfast of hot tea

Coffee {duh.}

And curried ginger carrot soup.

What?! You don't have soup at 5am when you are sick? Curried ginger carrot soup at that?

Weirdo.

I actually am fully aware that this all makes ME the weirdo, just play along will ya?

Aww - look who came to check on his momma!

Actually he's screaming at me to turn the lights off and go back to bed. He must not like celebrating this flu and cold season as much as I do.

If we were meant to pop out of bed, we'd all live in toasters.

It isn't that I'm not a morning person, it's just that I really, really love staying cuddled up in bed for as humanly long as possible.  Though there are good things that can come of this; a restful night/mornings sleep, waking up with warm fuzzies and getting to cuddle with Forks a little longer...there are some pretty annoying things that can come of it to; hitting snooze one too many time and sleeping in 45 minutes later than you had wanted, not having time to make coffee in the morning, having to throw my hair up in a pony because I have zero time to do anything else with it, and ultimately just starting the morning, day and week with my cranky pants on.

I've set a goal for this week to be up e a r l y everyday.  Even though today is only day one, I'm already loving it!

Here are some things I've accomplished:
Unloading/loading my dishwasher.
Signing up and getting my yoga classes squared away for the week.
Sorting my laundry.
Putting up a few more Halloween decorations.

That's right.  Who knew this morning stuff could be badass after all?  I can't forget to thank my Morning Muse #1 and Morning Muse #2 for the awesome morning inspiration!

Wish me luck for 5 straight days of morning awesomeness!

Woof.

This man just gets me.

Holan is THE most perfect cuddle bug and could be one of my favorite things in all the land.

These two aren't too bad themselves.

Hush little kitty.

I love the Fall/Winter months because virtually every morning I wake up with a chilly, cuddly kitty sleeping on the back of my legs while I'm sleeping on my tummy.

I've woken up like this 3/3 mornings this week!

I hope you have a Wed filled with your own chilly cuddly kitty! If you need to borrow one, I know a guy.
