And let's not forget...

My day will be awesome because:

I was reading through some of my old blog posts last night, and I totally forgot how frequently I would list out my Favorite 5's.  I most certainly had my crabby pants on this morning, and though I've slowly taken them of throughout the day, I still want to make a list of Why My Day Will Be Awesome:

My day will be awesome because:
Anything that I think I have to complain or fuss about really isn’t that bad.  Frustrating conversations, irritating coworkers, the list could go on and on, however, they are ALL things that can be worked through and overcome.  It’s not the end all, be all.

I’m having a really, stinking good hair day.

I get to stay at my aunt’s tonight to housesit 2 dogs, and I can’t wait to get my puppy love fix in.

I just ate my leftover lunch from yesterday and am so dang happy about it.  Yes it’s 10:40a, and yes I ate it all.  Sue me.

I just got to hear this conversation among Kate and Sara:
Kate: I just feel dirty doing a search for Hooters.
Sara: You are searching for Hooters?!?!!
For what it's worth, Hooters ran a spot with us and Kate had to do the billing for it.  Clear your minds, folks.

Jonny G and I are planning the dinner menu for American Idol's premiere tonight!  His emails, though sarcastic and bitchy, make me smile every time I open them.  In case you forgot, my friends and I have a slight addiction to American Idol.  Mary even temporarily swore off watching it this season because of the pain and suffering caused by her favorite getting voted off last year...but I'm pretty sure she came around.  ;)

This picture is set as the background to my new computer, and I la-ove it!  My mom, aunt and Chrissy and I in San Diego last year after a very loud, silly and liquid lunch.

Boo ya!  Oh and I've read this post already a handful of times today.

what if instead of being furious....we were kind.
what if instead of being furious....we were kind.
what if instead of being furious....we were kind.

Love it.  Why will YOUR day be awesome today?!

*No idea why some of my text is highlighted - let's just pretend that didn't happen, yes?

Oh life.

Just when I get a massive blow to the ego, heart and head - you know how to pick me back up by something as simple as a message on my afternoon tea:

Re-examine all you have been told...Dismiss what insults your Soul.

Walt Whitman...I think we would have gotten along swimmingly.

Happy weekending!

I'm so thankful for this weekend!  Not only because it's 4 days long, but it's the first weekend in probably close to 2 months I haven't had to live out of a suitcase for at least a day of it.  Don't get me wrong, I love Hunt and I's little weekend trips, but I'm also as equally thrilled to sleep in, drink coffee and watch my boi cook me breakfast.  Run errands, go grocery shopping.  Make lunch and listen to Hunter and his roommate banter about things that I have learned really quickly to tune out.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend, long or short!

Oh....and...GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Positive Polly.

You guys. I am in the best mood today. Like. THE best mood. It’s 9:27am, and I’ve already giggled so hard I got tears in my eyes…TWICE. That happens maybe by like 9p on a good day.

It could be because I had a romantic date with my gay husband last night. And by romantic, I mean Thai food in our pj’s, Manhattan’s in Tiffany tumblers. Also, by romantic, I mean getting chased around the house with a piece of a grapefruit that looked eerily like something that makes your heart pump. And last but not least, by romantic I mean him tying the hood of my hoodie around my head so tight I literally couldn’t see shiz, giggling so hard I couldn’t breathe then him pushing me out on his front porch saying “Okay thanks, come again bye bye now.”

Yeah. We are REALLY mature.

You may quit judging now.

But the real reason I think I’m in such an insanely awesome mood is because of this blog post I read this morning.

For real. How. Powerful. Are. Those. Words?! It was the best thing to read first thing in the morning.

I could have used this one yesterday:

what if, instead of reacting...we stopped and took a deep breath
what if, instead of losing our patience... we didn't

But guess what? I have them today, and I’m going to execute those little buggers all day long.

I truly got chills after reading this post, and I couldn’t wait to get to work fast enough to live them all.

I think the most challenging one for me will be:
what if, instead of using the past as ammunition, we forgot...moved on and forgave.

That is something I strive for daily, but my stubbornness and aggression take over 10 times out of 10.

Here’s to change. Here’s to full hearts. Here’s to being the best version of ourselves.

Currently:

3 sickos, one Cup of Noodles, two pairs of slippers and one entertaining Apple computer.

Actually I don't know if Forks is sick, though I'm saying he is because he's playing the part quite well.

Poor Hunter is out cold and snoring even with my computer blasting Real World 2 feet from his face. I'm not too far off.

I hope your Monday is far less sick and way more productive!
