*My body is a wonderland.

Over the past few weeks, I feel that I've accomplished quite a bit as far as physical activity goes.  I won't bore you with my most recent round of knee pain/injuries but about 3 months ago I was in so much pain, couldn't even run a mile.  Heck, I had a hard time walking on the treadmill!  I went back to my trusty PT office here in Steamboat and was matched with a therapist + student therapist who I truly felt understood my injury and pain miles over any therapist/chiropractor had in the past.  Since seeing them, I am so proud of myself with the big and little goals I've reached.  Like...

...biking 20+ miles while volunteering for The United way through work.

...setting out on a mountain bike ride with 9 extremely advanced { and amazing } riders and feeling so proud of myself for my ability to keep up to the best of my ability and while not giving up { dang you hills! }!

...turning around the next day and biking 6 miles through the desert of Utah with Hunt.

...committing to 3 runs/week in preparation for a 10k!  My biggest accomplishment during my training was running 5 miles after work one evening with minimal pain + struggle without stopping!

...completing a 10k last weekend under the time I had set for myself to run it in and again, without stopping the entire 6.2 miles!

...getting to the gym at least 4 mornings a week before work.  It's the best and most relaxing { yes, relaxing! } way to start my day.  There are no photos to accompany this one because aint' nobody got time for that at 6am.

Some of these might not sound like much, but I am celebrating even the smallest accomplishments. When you struggle to complete one mile of running, you celebrate the heck out of those 6.2 miles when you can!  I'm really excited about keeping this momentum going while growing my mountain bike skills + keep up growing my running mileage a few nights a week!

*Sorry I'm not sorry for the blog post title.  I've had that line stuck in my head whenever I would think to sit down and write this post.  I just had to let it flow, yo.

Ahhh freakout!...potentially.

Do you ever feel like you are potentially on the verge of a freak-out?  Like, oh for example, thinking about how in the upcoming days, all of your possessions will be spread among 3 different residences.  You'll be living out of boxes for potentially the next month+.  How you have lists of freelance work, party planning, packing, cleaning, work events all while trying to balance friends, family and boyfriend?  While maintaining a gym schedule in addition to eating healthy and not slipping into the Fast Food Funk?  And when you actually take the time to write it all out, you start to feel your inner Jessie Spano tick?

Yeah.  Me too.

Here are a few methods of therapy I have found to kick that darn Jessie to the curb.

Something about sitting down to paint my nails is incredibly soothing to me.  Yeah, I have had 3 different colors on my nails than less than a week, but when I was feeling myself surrounded by packing, packing and more cleaning and an anxiety attack nearing - I'd just sit down with a glass of ice water and a bottle of polish, and sip and paint away.  Sounds silly, but works for me.

Forcing in some sweat time, even when you don't think you have the time or energy for it.  If it's a stroll around the block, run to the park, tennis date, or an hour gym session - my mind always seems more clear and realistic than it did before my workout.
hi mary!

Even on nights when I know I should be packing and I know I should be designing stepping away from that all for a home-cooked meal with my #1 crush can be JUST what the doctor ordered.

Lots of text time, and giggle time and face time with my favorite gurls....you can never go wrong.  Swapping sob stories, laughing at the hard times and knowing, just KNOWING you will get through it all with them by your side.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I get by with a little help from my friends!

What works for all you fancy readers?  You better believe this isn't the last of ahhh freakout! posts in the upcoming weeks, so any suggestion is welcomed and appreciated!

What did you do last night?

Anything fun? What did I do, you say? How sweet of you to ask!

I went on an awesome run with my boyfriend in my new awesome shoes from said awesome boyfriend

Then we went and wandered the aisles of Whole Foods (one of my favorite past times with him) and got some fixings for dinner! Edamame with salt and cayenne pepper to snack on, grilled salmon and asparagus spears with spinach and mushroom risotto! Oh. And wine. (duh)

THEN. We lounged on the couch for a while. Him watching Airplane! and playing WWF, me ignoring Airplane!, playing WWF and Draw Something, then eventually retiring to his room to play checkers.

His mom found this awesome checkers table at a thrift store in MT, and we (read: I) have been dying to use it! Then of course looking up the rules of jumping in checkers

All while I was perfectly relaxed with tunes in the background, cuddled up in some quilts his mom has made.

I fell asleep shortly after our 2nd game while getting a hand massage (he's the best), and when he woke me up to actually go to bed, he was telling me to "turn around", and I thought he was saying "put your arms down". It was a very confusing 45 seconds for me, but thankfully we made it though.

Tonight you ask? Brewing beer! I love when he has a full week off from work. I've been so spoiled with nightly dates and extra long cuddle sessions lately. #swoon.

I even stepped out on my wrap around patio
