::WORKING ON:: Designing business cards for Hunter and I { for a reason I have realized hasn't even made the blog yet.  I need to get explaining! }, misc Snowy projects, brainstorming ways to expand my freelance and a super secret project that involved 4 oh so amazing tutorial videos by my Mary!  I can't talk much about it, but when it's over, I'll most def pimp the final project all over here.  Also working on snacking on more Cuties, banana + peanut butter combos, mini sweet peppers, glasses of water and hot tea over chips and salsa, jelly beans, salty pretzel chips and glasses of beer/wine.

::THINKING ABOUT:: Inspiration.  The inspiration that has come to me in forms of friendship, love, creativity, strength, despair, design, kindness, grief.  Since leaving my job 4 months ago, I feel like I'm finally morphing back to the Beth who moved to Denver.  I'm feeling myself shedding the vain, materialistic, corporate america thoughts that I was surrounded by for 5 years, and morphing back to the Beth who was less jaded.  The Beth who didn't give a flying football where her jeans came from, and when is the right time in the year to wear white.  The Beth who wanted to give more, laugh more.  The Beth who wanted spend more time alone in the park.  The Beth who used to mail cards just because.  The Beth who found sheer joy in sitting alone at a coffee shop reading for hours on end.  The Beth who LOVED designing, and couldn't be pulled away from her computer.  I lost a lot, if not all of my creative design spark in those 5 years { to no one's fault but my own } and I'm determined to get it back.  This surge of striving to be a better person can be 100% attributed to the bodies and friendship I've been lucky enough to surround myself with in the past 4 months.  It's amazing how inspiring it is when you have the ability to choose who it is you spend your time with.  What a concept, eh?  Choosing who you focus on building friendships with and who you are able to concentrate on spending time with.  And in that time, pulling as much knowledge, direction and love from people you admire most.

::ANTICIPATING:: So, so, so many things!  I'm anticipating likely the busiest weekend at Snowy starting tomorrow.  I'm anticipating my uncle coming up and staying Sunday/Monday.  I'm anticipating a quick week trip to Steamboat next week. I'm anticipating gearing up for a Washington DC trip the end of the month.  I'm anticipating the end of the ski season in early April { HOW is it possible I'm already typing those words?  Too fast, time.  Too fast. } I'm anticipating time spent at Lake Powell for a very very special trip.  I'm anticipating Hunter and my next step and all of the pieces coming together for where we will live next.  But above all?  I'm anticipating the shower that is about 2 hours overdue this morning. Yikes.

::LISTENING TO:: Paper Bird!  Mary introduced me to them years ago, though sadly it was in my stubborn music stage.  It's not that I didn't listen to her music recommendations  but it's just that I didn't listen to her music recommendations.  I dusted off one of their CD's she was kind enough to burn me, and I haven't turned back since.  Hunter was even moving and grooving to them during our last car ride to SLC!  I have determined it is exactly 6 Paper Bird songs from Centennial to Laramie.  Such a glorious 30 minute drive...

::EATING:: Avocado toast morning after morning 100% by choice.  Veggie burgers afternoon after afternoon 4% by choice { so thankful for the option here in Snowy's cafeteria and other restaurants in Centennial and on our travels.  However, I think I've maxed out on veggie burgers for quite some time. } And delicious vegan meal night after night, again 100% by choice!  The support and attention to detail Hunter and his family have shown for my vegan eating has been the maximum level of thoughtful and kind.  Since moving up here I can think of one meal we've had that wasn't vegan friendly { we usually cook dinners based around vegan recipes, but cook up a meat/dairy option on the side for other carnivores to add to their meal }, and even then it was vegetarian and meatless!

::THANKFUL FOR::  Fi-nally getting back into an exercise routine!  Hunter was kind enough finally had it with my bitching and set up a treadmill one building over for us to use!  Plus, the random days that I head into town I try to sneak a run in- it feels so great breathing in the fresh Spring air!  My weight has been up and down these past few months, and right now it's up...and that makes me feel down { Seriously I need that shower to break up my bad puns. }  Spring has sprung, and I'm very thankful for a { somewhat } healthy knee and body to get to ski and run to enjoy it all.

::PLANNING FOR:: Our last kick of trips and final weeks at Snowy before settling into a new town/state come mid-Spring.  I'm embracing this crazy exciting traveling, spontaneous and adventurous period in our lives right now while it's hitting us smack dead in the face before a slower { albeit much welcomed } lifestyle comes our way.

::WORKING ON:: The endless amount of to do lists and misc sign requests that come with the opening of Snowy this weekend!  We had the absolute best and most successful weekend, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it went.  I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I am so very painfully proud of Hunter, his brother and dad for the countless hours that they've poured their talent and hard work into seeing Saturday go off without a hitch, and to say their efforts were recognized and appreciated couldn't be a bigger understatement.

::THINKING ABOUT:: What a whirlwind life has been the last 2+ weeks, and how it really isn't going to calm down anytime soon.  I had a wonderful time in California with my family for a week celebrating all things wonderful and thankful, worked a short week and then headed up to Snowy for opening weekend.  The amount of suitcases in my bedroom that need to be unpacked and put away { three }, mixed with how many loads of laundry I have to catch up on { probably closer to four }, then throw in the severe lack of grocery shopping leaving my cupboards sorry, sad and empty looking really should encourage me to stay in more...but where's the fun in that?!

::ANTICIPATING:: Being done with work in less than 2 weeks!  My boss is always asking me "What are you doing to prepare for this?  How are you getting yourself ready?" and I would always blow him off saying, "Oh Alex, I'm FINE!"  The closer it gets, the more I see he really has a point.  To just one day be done with a lifestyle I've known for 5 1/2 years isn't something I'll adjust to overnight, but with the promise of a new, challenging and exciting future will surely soften the blow.

::LISTENING TO:: On nonstop repeat during work for me is handsome Paul and his lovely wife, the sweetest of sweet sisters and the most charming drunk man I ever did see.

::EATING:: Subway veggie salads.  I am on a ROLL with these lately, and don't see the obsession dying down anytime soon.  You can get AS MANY VEGGIES AS YOU WANT in one lovely salad bowl for $5.  AND, when I ask for extra jalapeno's and banana peppers, they aren't shy which is a heat loving, salad eating person's dream.  I crave their Sweet Onion sauce, and finally took the time to research how to make it for myself!  I found the recipe here, and want to try and modify it a bit to make it more vegan friendly { byebye buttermilk powder! } and less corn syrup heavy.

::THANKFUL FOR::  A busy week packed with tree decorating, happy hours,  dinners and Christmas celebrations!  I have helped Jon decorate his tree every single year I can remember since moving to Colorado, and he was sweet enough to postpone from decorating it this weekend to tonight so I can participate!!  I have quite possibly packed more into one week than I really should { sorry suitcases and laundry...you've waited this long, you can wait another week. }, but am rip roaring ready for making some lovely memories with my fancy friends.

::PLANNING FOR:: Goodbye's and fresh starts.  Enough said.

::WORKING ON:: My emotions.  It has been very difficult lately staying mentally present in a couple different aspects of life.  It's become a struggle to remain present at work, knowing it's so short term now.  I'm striving to stay present in my friendships and relationships outside of work knowing that in a few months, life will look vastly different than it does now.  So staying present, and remembering to smile throughout it all it is!  : >

::THINKING ABOUT:: Paint samples, antique stores and Etsy, oh my!  I've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to spruce up the lobby, lodge and cafeteria up at Snowy { the ski area }.  It has been all consuming and I really couldn't be more excited about it.  Hunter and I decided we want to purchase as many things as possible from Etsy and support smaller, local businesses rather than places like Hobby Lobby and/or larger stores.  To say I'm "THINKING ABOUT" it is maybe an understatement.  It probably should read "OBSESSING OVER".  Haha!

::ANTICIPATING:: A night out with my girls on Friday!  It's the lovely and talented Jaime of South on Broadway's birthday today { HAPPY BIRFDAY HAIME! }, and Ashley, Sara and I are taking her out for drinks and nibbles to our most favorite Root Down to celebrate on Friday.  We are LONG overdue for a night of giggles, making memories, photo snapping and generally making a scene anywhere we go.  When the 4 of us get together, there is not a chance for a sour mood or crabby pants to sneak in. I know it will be so good for the soul in countless ways!

::LISTENING TO:: All things Daily Grace.  As I type this, I'm listening to/snorting while watching to her be a wingwoman, and I will admit to frequenting her YouTube channel a few times a day for a quick pick me up!

::EATING:: I have discovered my most favorite fruit just this past week....kiwi berries!  I have never in all my life even known these things existed, and I was in for the biggest most pleasant surprise when Hunter told me they came in his latest Door to Door Organics box.  They taste exactly like a kiwi without that pesky skin, and are just the teeniest tiniest widdle cutest things ever!  I'm stopping myself.  So yes, I've been eating kiwi berries lately.  Next question.

::THANKFUL FOR::  This beautiful fall day.  As I was driving to work this morning, I was in complete awe of how vibrant the trees look, how perfectly the leaves lie in piles in front yards and the calm, crisp stillness that comes with this season.  I'm reminded why Fall really is my most favorite season!

::PLANNING FOR::  A week full of running, cross training and weights!  Thanks to my girl Amie, I've been keeping on track with a new running schedule { more on that later! }, and it feels so good to be sticking with it.  It takes a lot of preplanning for when to get in my runs and gym time - but it's far and above worth it!

{ there is a crazy amount of posts like these going around this here interweb, so I figured I'd jump on board! }

::WORKING ON:: Freelance, freelance, freelance, and beating this CO heat.  The former is proving to be more enjoyable than the latter.

::THINKING ABOUT:: The future!  And embracing the whirl of emotions attached with leaving my job after 5+ years...

::ANTICIPATING:: Seeing my long distance lover, Amie and Andrew in a few weeks!  Like Amie puts it "Having you, Hunter, Andrew and I all together in MONTANA is like eating cookies for dinner, and cake for dessert."  We are still working out the details, but it's going to be epic.  And also splashed all over this here blog of mine.  You are welcome.

::LISTENING TO:: Honking horns, traffic and pedestrians outside my window.  It's a great calm background soundtrack to this Friday.

::EATING:: Veggies, grains, and fruits!  Green smoothies.  Herbal tea.  Water.    Most recently, I just finished up a lunch of: red cabbage, lettuce, red onion, cauliflower, broccoli and caper salad + corn tortilla, black beans, orange peppers, jalapenos, green onions, salsa and vegan cheese!  Hello, happy tummy.

::THANKFUL FOR:: My cousin and her husband in town this weekend!  H and I head up to my uncles in Longmont to after work for dinner, cards and memories.  Mix that with plans to hit 3 breweries {Hi, my name is Beth, and I'll be your DD for the weekend.} on Saturday, plus a brunch on Sunday and you've got a happy girl!  Weekends with my fam dam are my fa-vorite.  Also thankful for my sweet friend, Jaime!  I went to her yesterday with a question related to the best place to spend my birthday, and this sneaky girl has completely taken over planning it for me!  I have told her time and time again I don't want to impose that on her, but she can't be stopped, that one.  Aren't friends the best?  I think so, too.

::PLANNING FOR::  Mary's birthday party { Is it August 22nd yet? }, fun Denver things to do when my parents get here next weekend {weeeeeeee!}, starting to go through and clean out my apartment, setting up my yoga schedule for next week, oh - did I mention Mary's birthday party?!
